On Her Throne

The Princess has been living with me for 3 days now, and I think she likes it.  Everytime I get home, she is hiding under my bed, but it doesn't take too long for her to come out and say hello.  Her favorite spot is to cuddle up beside me on the couch.  She hates going to the mailbox with me.  I think it's just because there has been a light breeze for the past couple of days and that gives her chills and then she's anxious to get back inside.  We still seem to get along pretty good though, so I hope she's pleased with her new home.

Vday Weekend

No place I'd rather go on Feb. 14th than my favorite - El Charro!!
Thanks for coming down to visit this weekend, friend.
Got to go by and visit Granny.  Then we went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic.  I really enjoyed the movie!  And I need to get myself a new scarf!

Also, our run to the mall was so much fun!  Glad you got a couple of new shirts ;)

Market Square is definitely our hangout
whenever you come to town...hmm..maybe next time we can make it to Tomato Head.  And maybe next time I can have some great photographs for you!  But i don't know if I would count on it just yet.  It depends on the weather - and my energy...
Oh yeah, but also, next time we're going shopping for Easter dresses.  Wow. lunch was so good today, but I know we will both be ready for dinner tonight.  Hope you do well on your exam this week.

Laurel Falls

So I went on a hike this weekend.  Just posting a little late because I had to get the pictures off of my camera. It was such a beautiful day! I can't believe it was in the 60's at the beginning of February!  Anyway - who knew the Laurel Falls hike continued past the falls?  We hiked about 8 miles total.  There wasn't really a great view at the top - although there was a weather tower and some snow!
It was a perfect day to get outside and enjoy the weather.  Followed by a great meal at Denny's - grand slam!  I had pancakes, bacon, eggs, and grits - yum yum!

So, this is my snowman.  He is holding a stick in his left hand - that's why it looks extra long.  Also, notice the hair on his head.  This may not be the best shot for it, but it was from some moss on a nearby tree.  His tie in the front is a little long, but he had to be clothed. :) Also, you may not notice at first, but his pet dog is next to him.  Kinda blends in with the rest of the snow, but i hope you can see and enjoy it!

The waterfall was flowing, but it was mostly frozen!  I don't think I have seen that much frozen water on a waterfall before.  It was so pretty.  Although it was still slippery and I slipped on one of the rocks.  For a split second, I thought I was going to slip right off the rocks and land on the rocks below.  A little scary!

Welcome February!

Welcome to my page!  I will just share glimpses of my life - perhaps the glittery moments that make me smile!

I was out of school one day this week for snow! Since it has snowed quite a bit lately, I decided I should finally make a snowman in case we don't get anymore snow.  So, I made my little six in snowman on my parent's back patio.  The dogs ended up eating it after a day, but it was so cute!  Hopefully we will see more snow, but even if we don't, I'm glad to have made my snowman for this winter!
